19 months old, but I am an adult in my head...

Well I am what mommy calls "sick" I have a runny nose and a cough and I will not let mommy put me down. She tried to give me medicine, but ughhhh! Have you ever tasted that stuff? I threw it all up. The sick thing has its advantages though, I got a new set of pj's w/ balls on them, a new blanket with balls on it, and a new sippy cup with balls on it, and its my favorite kind, the one with the straw.

Here is what else is going on in my life:


Last week I got to go see "The Bee" at the movie theater. That was my first time going to the movies. I went with Mommy, Colly, Aunt Lisa and Troy, Anthony and his friend David went to, but they saw a different movie, bc they are too cool for The Bee. Mom had to take me out of the theater a few times, she told me that the space in front of the screen was not my stage! I do not understand? I am a King, people worship me, why can't that be my stage? I was thinking all of the other moviegoers were really there to see me, and the movie was just gravy. Mom has a lot to learn I think.

About a week and a half ago, I had a wonderful day. First I dressed up as Buzz Lightyear, then I went to Troy's house and guess what? He was dressed as Buzz Lightyear too! Then we went for a very long walk and Colly showed us how to knock on doors and get candy! So many people were just hanging around waiting to tell me how cute I am and then give me candy! Of course I frowned upon those giving out Nestle, but I think they just didn't know any better. One wonderful lasy gave me goldfish crackers! I thought that was wonderful bc I had worked up quite an appetite on my candy walk. Mom says that the candy walk only happens once a year, but when they start recognizing my royal status, I will be changing that!

So much to tell...

 Well I noticed my mommy has been negligent updating my blog, I do apologize to all of my adoring fans. I had to have a talk with her and let her know that I hold my personal assistant up to a higher standard than that. Now for whats new with me, I was in a photo shoot last week for The Happy Green Bee clothing company, which is a line of organic clothig for babies. Mommy heard that its a clothing division of Burt's Bees products. I still love to point at things instead of talking:

 

My favorite thing to play is sports, I am really good at kicking and throwing a ball now.

Last week we went clothes shopping and now all of my clothes have either footballs, baseballs, soccer balls or basketballs on them. Even my new socks and sneakers. So now I like getting dressed, I can point to my shirt all day now and say "ball!" Don't get me wrong, I still prefer to run around naked more than anything!

Another one of my favorite things are animals! Last month we went to the Zoo in Washington, DC. I loved the animals and REALLY loved the water mist stations!

 

Mommy also got us passes to Atlantis Marine World. I love it there, especially seeing the sea lions underwater, and the baby seal that comes up to ses me:

This is the life. being carried by Mommy who is also carrying a bag of goodies from the souveneir shop, because a King can NEVER have too many toys!

My first crush

So I have always been told that I am dashing and debonair, but today the reality was in full force! I was shopping with Mom at Burlington Coat Factory(Do you know they are more than great coats?) anyway, mom had me in a back carry with our lovely giraffe beco, that was ok for a while, but those aisles were soooooo appealing! So mo as crazy to do it, but she let me down, I ran and ran, up the aisles, ent left, went right, down the aisles, mom was not getting much shopping done since she had to power walk to keep up with me, then I stumble upon two grandmas wheeling around their 5 month old grandaughter, her name was Olivia and it was obvious she was smitten with me, she couldn't take her eyes off me! I flirted for a few minutes but then I started smelling up the place, you guessed it, I had a poopy diaper, mom tells me that this is a turn off to the ladies but I really do not think Olivia minded, it was almost like a connection of two people who suffer with poopy diapers a few times a day. So I had to say good-bye to Olivia and go get my diaper changed. After the diaper change once again mom tried to attempt to shop, but Predictably I was running through the place like a mouse in a cheese maze with Colly and Mommy in hot pursuit. All of a sudden I feel someone holding my hand, I look into the brown eyes of a beautiful latina princess, I never gor hername because neither her or her mommy spoke english, but she did understand my point and grunt language. She was two yrs old, an older woman, but we had so much fun playing together, hand in hand walking up the aisles as our mommies followed us and spoke to each other in the few words each knew from the others language. It was so much fun! I hope to see her again some day, maybe at the playground.

Communication; Get the point?

Some people communicate with sign language, others speak, there are so many language and dialects it was hard to choose, so I chose pointing and grunting as my primary language. Why should I have to form words when I can just point and grunt and someone will always do my bidding? I love to point to balloons, and most of the time I end up getting one. When I wake up in the morning, I look up, extend my arm and point my finger towards the helium balloon on the ceiling above my bed that miraculously has not lost its anti-gravity power yet. I start my day with the ballon point and say "Bul" and I am just so cute that mommy's heart just melts and of course she starts me off with my first 100 kisses of the day, I am just so loveable, she can not resist. Another person who can not resist my point charm is la madrina, Auntie Rinda, she says she is going to buy me 100 balloons! I can't wait to see her again! All better now

Just wanted to follow up on my rotavirus from a few weeks back, I feel much better now. I am back to eating like crazy, still nursing like I am a newborn, but mom doesn't mind, bc it burns calories! I am adjusting to my mommy working five days a week, I know its only four hours a day, but to a baby, it seems like forever. I am so sad when she leaves. My Dada, Jessie, Anthony, and Colly do their best to entertain me, one day last week Anthony spent thirty minutes running, jumping, and touching the ceiling t keep me happy. I still miss mommy though, I know she feels so guilty so I make sure I give a guilt bolus before she leaves, I do my boo boo face and cling to her. Mommy will be leading a breastfeeding group at a community agency soon as part as her job, and I get to go with her! That will be exciting.

I have developed a few new interests these days, I love balloons, balls, and anything mildly spherical that I can throw. I like to play catch with anyone who will play. I also love taking off my diaper, the sense of freedom is intoxicating! I have a new wagon that is lots of fun to ride in, and when I get bored Mommy pops me into a comfy back carry so I can see things at a different level.

Anyway thats all for now, I have to get my mommy to sleep.

So Much To Tell!

I can not believe its been so long since I have posted, time flies when you are busy being the cutest King in the world! Let's see, I took my first steps on 3/13/07. I am getting really good at it now, but still prefer being carried. Then on 3/15/07, I got my first haircut. It was a bittersweet experience for mommy and daddy, but the hair was getting long. I still have my kewpie doll curl in the front though. I enjoyed the haircut, I got to sit in a big jeep chair and listen to music, I was standing up and doing my John Travolta dance as I was getting the cut. This is all on video if anyone wants to see :o)

Then on 3/17/07 was my first birthday! Everyone put so much planning to make it a great day for me, my party was the day after a major ice storm, so lots of family were iced into their houses, so only about half of our invited guests were able to come, but we still had fun, I got to play with so many balloons, which are one of my favorite things. We sang karaoke, I had lots of fun playing with my cousin Troy, he is so funny! My BFF Gina Marie was there to play with us, she is walking so good! I figure a month from now we can really run around. GM's mom made corned beef and cabbage for everyone to go along with the other delicious food made by Grandma and adopted Grandma Mary. I got lots of great presents, and La Madrina Auntie Rinda bought me the awesomest wagon, Mommy calls it my chariot and can't wait to take me out in it! My chariot even has a safari theme and there is a giraffe on it. I love Giraffes just like Great Grandma Florida. Pretty soon I am going to go to the Bronx Zoo with Mommy and Madrina to see the new baby giraffe.

The only negative thing I have to report is that my tummy hurts :o(

Mommy thinks I have rota virus bc my poopy smells really bad and I can clear out a roo with one toot of gas. I am still happy as long as mommy holds me, I have no appetite for anything but the boo boos. Mommy is so glad we still nurse or else I would be so dehydrated by now. Hopefully I am over the worst part and can start feeling better so I can plan my zoo trip. That's about all for now. Hugs, Kisses, and Loves to everyone.
